Singer Adekunle Gold has officially announced an upcoming musical collaboration with rapper Olamide, marking their first joint release.
The announcement, made on April 6, 2026, revealed that the new track is scheduled for release on April 9. This collaboration comes as a significant development for fans, given both artists' history.
Adekunle Gold shared the news across his social media channels, stating, "First time ever, me and @Olamide Formation. April 9."
Adekunle Kosoko, widely known as Adekunle Gold, first gained widespread recognition while he was a member of Olamide's record label, YBNL Nation. During his tenure with YBNL, he released his hit single "Sade" but did not release any collaborative music with Olamide. He departed the label in 2016 to pursue an independent career.
Meanwhile, Olamide has continued to expand YBNL's influence within the Nigerian music industry, fostering the careers of numerous artists.
Anticipation for a potential collaboration had been building since December, when Olamide made an unexpected appearance at Adekunle Gold's concert in Lagos, introducing him on stage.
With the confirmed release date, the forthcoming song is poised to unite the two artists creatively for the first time since their early careers under the same management. The project is expected to be a highlight for listeners, given the artistic evolution both musicians have undergone.
