Bonnie Blue, an adult film star recognized by her real name Tia Billinger, has been charged with outraging public decency due to an alleged incident that took place outside the Indonesian Embassy in London.
The influencer reportedly simulated a sexual act while waving an Indonesian flag outside the embassy on Great Peter Street, SW1. This event prompted an investigation by the Metropolitan Police.
A spokesperson from the police stated: "A woman has been charged with outraging public decency following an investigation by the Met Police. Tia Billinger, 26, was charged via postal requisition on Monday, 16 March. She is scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 22 April."
The charge stems from an occurrence shortly after her arrival back in the UK from Indonesia, where she previously encountered legal troubles. In a video statement, Billinger mentioned her arrest in Bali, commenting, "Yes, I got arrested in Bali for filming…" while mimicking the action once more.
Previously, she was detained in Bali with allegations tied to the production of explicit content. Although she faced a minor fine and was cleared, Indonesian authorities enforced a ban preventing her return for ten years.
Officials stated this ban was a reaction to activities considered inconsistent with Indonesia's cultural values and tourism image.
Upon returning to the UK, prosecutors proceeded with the charge following a referral to the Crown Prosecution Service. If convicted, Billinger could face a maximum sentence of six months in prison. The matter is set to be addressed at Westminster Magistrates Court in April.
