The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State, Barrister Idris Shaibu Gella, made an official visit to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri at his residence in Madagali on Sunday for Sallah celebrations. During this visit, he voiced confidence in a decisive victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the forthcoming 2027 general elections.
Gella expressed admiration for the governor’s popularity among the grassroots, noting that the enthusiastic reception from the youth, who referred to Fintiri as the "ATM Governor," indicates a solid rapport between his administration and the citizens.
The APC chairman praised Fintiri’s efforts in dismantling opposition structures and unifying them into what he termed a cohesive political front within the state.
He acknowledged the improved security situation in Adamawa, crediting it to the collaboration between the state government and the Office of the National Security Adviser. According to Gella, the current peace in various regions of the state has fostered a favorable environment for political participation and socio-economic activities.
In response, Governor Fintiri reaffirmed his dedication to bolstering the political environment through ongoing registration activities and mobilization initiatives. He stated that the state is strategically preparing to secure a landslide victory for President Tinubu in the upcoming 2027 elections.
