The Ogun State Police Command has revealed that an autopsy conducted by the State Criminal Investigation Department detected significant amounts of tramadol and methamphetamine in his body.

According to the official conclusion from the investigation, the singer's death was attributed to aspiration pneumonitis, a condition resulting from the ingestion of these substances.

The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Babaseyi Oluseyi, also confirmed that an arrest has been made in connection with the case, and the investigation is continuing.

Destiny Boy first gained prominence in 2019 following the widespread popularity of his Fuji-inspired rendition of Davido's hit song "If."

He is survived by his partner, Iremide, and their child, who was born in November 2024.
