A police officer has been killed and numerous goods were stolen following an assault by bandits on Sayaya village, situated in Matazu Local Government Area of Katsina State.
The armed individuals reportedly invaded the community and targeted a local police station, resulting in the death of one officer.
In addition to the police station, they also attacked a Primary Health Care Centre and plundered various shops, making away with merchandise and other valuable items.
Residents reported that the violent incident caused widespread panic, prompting many to seek safety as the gunmen operated unchecked for several hours.
