Security analyst Bakatsine confirmed the occurrence on Monday, March 2, 2026.

According to Bakatsine, "On Friday evening, armed bandits amputated the hand of a farmer, Abdulkarim, and caused him severe injuries in Kubau LGA of Kaduna State."

The attackers reportedly found him engaged in his dry-season farming when they executed the brutal assault. Reports indicate that the violence erupted after Abdulkarim confronted the assailants.

Bakatsine further raised concern about the ongoing insecurity in farming areas, asking, "How long will farmers continue to pay the price for insecurity in their own fields?"
