The Bauchi State Police Command has taken a 48-year-old man into custody for allegedly sodomizing a 15-year-old boy in Burra, situated within the Ningi Local Government Area.

SP Nafiu Habib, the spokesperson for the police command, made this announcement on Saturday, March 7, 2026, stating that the suspect was arrested for committing an unnatural act, identified as sodomy.

According to the police public relations officer, the suspect lured the victim under false pretenses into a room where he is accused of carrying out the sexual assault.

On February 25, 2026, a report was filed by 45-year-old Danalami Umar from Bakin Kasuwa, Burra, at the Divisional Police Headquarters. He alleged that on February 17, 2026, at approximately 8:00 PM, his 15-year-old son was deceitfully enticed by Bala Mato, 48, who purportedly committed the act in a room.

The suspect has since been arrested, and the victim has been referred to the General Hospital in Burra for a medical examination.
