Following a search based on reasonable suspicion, the police discovered a toy pistol concealed within a black bag belonging to the suspects. Additionally, six different mobile phones were found in their possession. This discovery intensified the suspicion of their involvement in criminal activities.

DSP Ayanlade Olayinka, the command's spokesperson, confirmed the arrests and stated that the suspects, during interrogation, admitted to robbing members of the public and dispossessing them of their valuables. Their confessions have provided significant leads for the ongoing investigation.

"Consequently, the suspects have been taken into custody, while a comprehensive investigation has commenced to determine the full extent of their criminal operations and to identify other possible accomplices within their network," DSP Olayinka added.
