Ben Cleveland, an offensive lineman for the Chargers, has reached an agreement to pay his estranged wife, Kaitlyn Terrell Cleveland, a sum exceeding $550,000 to resolve their divorce.
Court documents indicate that Cleveland and Kaitlyn filed a settlement agreement in late January within the Georgia court system as part of finalizing their separation, according to reports from The California Post.
Ben has promised Kaitlyn a lump sum payment of $550,000, which includes funds designated for a 2024 Land Rover he will provide her with.
It seems this payment is contingent on Kaitlyn surrendering her claim to certain real estate assets owned by the couple, as specified in the settlement.
Moreover, Ben relinquished his rights to items such as a golf cart, various rugs and pillows, bedroom furniture, and kitchenware.
In return, Kaitlyn will give back Ben's firearm and thermal scope and allow him to keep ownership of two properties located in Georgia, as per the settlement agreement.
Both parties have agreed to bear their individual legal costs and pledged not to make any disparaging remarks about each other in any medium or post any content relating to each other on social media platforms.
While a judge has yet to approve the settlement agreement, Ben submitted a motion last week to speed up the process.
The divorce proceedings were initiated by Ben in February 2025, shortly after his arrest for DUI. He cited infidelity as the reason for the separation, a claim that Kaitlyn has publicly denied in court documents.
According to Ben’s divorce petition, the couple wed on July 21, 2022, and ended their relationship on December 29, 2024. Neither party has made any public comments regarding their separation.
Kaitlyn's attorney, J. Chase Wilson, remarked to The Post on Monday that their settlement prohibits them from discussing the matter publicly.
Ben, who reached a plea agreement to close his DUI case at the end of 2025, has been part of the NFL for five years after the Ravens selected him during the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft.
