At least ten individuals have lost their lives following a nocturnal assault on the Ankpali community, situated within the Apa Local Government Area of Benue State. The incident is reported to have taken place on Sunday night, April 12, 2026.

As local search parties continue their efforts, some residents remain unaccounted for. Eyewitness accounts from community members suggest that the attackers, identified as armed Fulani militia, descended upon the area under the cover of darkness.
