Chief Olabode George, the former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has urged President Bola Tinubu to rein in the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, asserting that Wike no longer represents the party.

George declared, "He was expelled during our convention in Ibadan last November, alongside other individuals. Their expulsion remains valid today."

He emphasized that Wike should not utilize federal government resources to intimidate citizens while falsely claiming to represent a faction of the PDP. "He is no longer associated with our party," George affirmed.

Blaming the presidency, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), and the judiciary for facilitating Wike's actions, he cautioned that Wike must be checked before his conduct escalates further.

George described Wike's behavior during the recent election in Abuja as an outright disgrace to the nation.

In a widely circulated video, Wike was shown addressing supporters of the All Progressives Congress at a polling station, boldly stating that after casting their votes, they should "leave the rest" to him.

George remarked that Wike's actions could not be sustained without the implicit support of President Tinubu. He asserted that Tinubu needs to recognize that he is in control of the administration until 2027 and not Wike.

"By permitting Wike to act in this manner, it reveals that the president is not well-versed in historical lessons," George noted.

He further warned, "When things spiral out of control, the president will have to bear the consequences alone. While Wike may seem to assist you against your supposed opponents, this tactic will not produce favorable outcomes in the long run."

George cautioned that any trouble in Nigeria would have repercussions across Africa, recalling anti-democratic elements responsible for past republics' downfalls and urging vigilance against Wike's influence.

He asserted, "I can assure the President, INEC, and the judiciary that Nigeria's resilience supersedes their capacity for misgovernance, and citizens will no longer tolerate the recklessness of a minister who was not even born during the 1962 crisis in the Western Region."

In another viral clip from the recent elections, security forces were witnessed storming a polling station, deploying tear gas, and seizing ballot boxes, shocking police officers present at the scene.

"Wike and his associates are playing with fire, as over 200 million patriotic Nigerians are fed up with this misconduct," George stated.

Having served in both military and civilian roles since 1999, he affirmed, "No individual, regardless of their status or power-drunk behavior, should be allowed to undermine the will of Nigerians."

He concluded by urging Tinubu to take decisive action to manage such unwanted behaviors immediately.
