The airplane was transporting officials from the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries on a mission to survey the local resources from the air.

At this point, only two of the deceased have been identified: cabin crew member Florencia Lolita and Deden Maulana.

The ATR 42-500 aircraft, which was operated by Indonesia Air Transport, lost communication on Saturday while flying in the Maros district, traveling from Yogyakarta to Makassar, the capital city of South Sulawesi.

Debris from the plane was discovered on Sunday, and it was confirmed that the aircraft was carrying ten individuals, including seven crew members and three passengers.

The flight's black box was successfully retrieved from the crash location by the combined search and rescue team.
