Boko Haram Suspect Neutralized by Troops in Yobe

Troops from the Nigerian Army, operating as part of the Joint Task Force North-East under Operation Hadin Kai, have successfully neutralized an individual suspected to be a spy for Boko Haram in Kanama town, Yobe State.

The event took place around 9:55 p.m. on March 14, 2026, as soldiers from the 159 Battalion, alongside members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), were executing an ambush operation in the region.

The suspect was captured during the mission after allegedly being observed conducting surveillance on the movements and activities of the troops in the area.

Following his arrest, the suspect attempted to flee but was subsequently neutralized by the forces on-site.
