President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has sanctioned the engagement of four ambassadorial appointees, a selection originating from the 68 approved by the Senate in December.
This decision was disclosed in a statement by Bayo Onanuga, who serves as the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, on Thursday.
"President Tinubu has confirmed the appointments of Ambassador Ayodele Oke as ambassador-designate to France, and Colonel Lateef Are as ambassador-designate to the United States of America."
"Additionally, the President has confirmed Ambassador Amin Dalhatu, former envoy to South Korea, as the high commissioner-designate to the United Kingdom."
"Usman Isa Dakingari Suleiman, who previously held the position of governor in Kebbi, has been designated as the ambassador to Turkey, a nation where the President plans to initiate a state visit next week."
"In a correspondence addressed to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, President Tinubu requested that the ministry inform the respective governments of the four nations regarding their new ambassadors, complying with standard diplomatic protocols."
