The Igboanugo family has revealed the date for the funeral of Chief Japhet Kennedy Igboanugo, along with his two wives, who were violently m!urdered by gunmen in the Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State.
According to reports, the tragic incident occurred on May 22, 2025, when armed assailants invaded the Ekwuru Issekke community and specifically targeted Chief Igboanugo's residence, resulting in his death alongside his two wives and their daughter.
The family has scheduled the burial events to start on April 8, 2026, with a Christian wake held at their home.
A burial mass is to be conducted on April 9, 2026, at which point the victims will be laid to rest.
