Content creator Deka George has opened up about the devastating experience of losing her sister Amaka during childbirth, describing it as one of the most traumatic periods of her life.

She revealed that the incident took place two weeks ago and she is still finding it hard to cope with the reality of the loss. Deka shared that she and her siblings, once four in number, are now just three, adding that coming to terms with this truth has been extremely challenging.

Deka also mentioned that her sister left behind a newborn, and she feels a profound sense of obligation to be actively involved in the child's life.

According to Deka, her sister was first taken to the hospital where she had signed up for antenatal care but was transferred due to elevated blood pressure levels. At the new facility, she reported that complications arose during labor, yet there was a significant delay before any surgical intervention took place. After delivering the baby, Deka's sister began experiencing breathing difficulties.

Deka stated that efforts to obtain immediate medical assistance were slow and insufficient, and unfortunately, her sister passed away before timely action could be taken.

She expressed her frustration over the lack of a qualified doctor to attend to her sister's needs at a critical moment, as well as the inadequate responses from hospital staff when she sought answers regarding the situation.

Notably, Deka was not in the same city at the time of her sister’s passing; she was involved in legal issues after confronting a hair vendor regarding a disappointing transaction. She believes that had she been present, she might have been able to make a difference.

Deka's sister, Amaka, died at the age of 36, and her passing has left a significant impact on the family and particularly on Deka.
