A popular content creator and thrift vendor, known as Fems Thrift, has raised an alarm over a harrowing experience where she and a friend were assaulted after falling victim to a deceptive modelling job in Lagos State's Ajao Estate.

Fems shared her harrowing experience on TikTok, indicating that the event transpired on Sunday, February 8. She revealed that a man contacted her via Instagram, claiming he had just returned from the United Kingdom to launch an international fashion brand in Nigeria.

The individual purportedly offered her a payment of N140,000 for a modelling job and requested her to promote the brand on her social media accounts. The initial discussion took place on February 1, and she agreed to the project after being assured that a full production crew, including a make-up artist, would be available for the shoot.

To ensure her safety, Fems chose to bring her friend along to the filming location. Upon reaching the address around 11 a.m. on the scheduled day, they discovered that the space was mostly vacant.

The man allegedly informed them that the site was a content creation studio and mentioned that the make-up artist had stepped out for a moment. Subsequently, he invited her to take a shower to prepare for the makeup session and shoot, claiming her complexion appeared oily and suggesting that she needed to freshen up. He even provided her with a robe to change into.

Once she complied with the request, the man reportedly entered the room under the guise of demonstrating how to secure the door while awaiting the other crew members. It was at that point that the situation escalated; he locked the door, threatened both women with a knife, tied them up, and coerced them to comply with his demands.

Fems alleged that the assailant then assaulted them, taking turns against their will as they were restrained. She further asserted that their mobile phones were confiscated, and they were compelled to unlock private folders, leading to personal files being transferred to him.

Moreover, the individual allegedly threatened them with the release of their private videos online if they attempted to report the incident or discuss it publicly. "He warned me about my online presence, saying that if I spoke out, he would publish my private videos presently and in the future," she recounted.

The victims managed to leave the apartment between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. that day. Fems is now calling for justice for both herself and her friend, urging that the man be apprehended to protect other potential victims from similar situations.

She noted that the traumatic incident has left her with both physical and emotional scars. "Because I was bruised badly. I was injured," she commented.
