The Federal High Court located in Ibadan has declared null and void the National Convention of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that was held on November 15, 2025. This ruling prevents Turaki and others from acting as national officers within the party.
Despite facing internal conflicts, the PDP proceeded with its much-anticipated two-day elective National Convention at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Adamasingba, Ibadan. Dubbed #Ibadan2025, the event attracted a considerable turnout of party delegates and leaders.
The convention aimed to elect a new National Working Committee (NWC), which would include a National Chairman tasked with leading the party through the upcoming 2027 general elections.
