Nigerian artist Crayon has ignited rumors about leaving his current record label after a passionate outburst on the social media platform X on the evening of March 15, where he openly criticized Mavin Records' management.

The 28-year-old, whose real name is Charles Chibueze Chukwu, began his posts with a mix of admiration and hostility towards Mavin's founder, Don Jazzy, and Tega Oghenejobo, the label's chief operating officer.

"Don Jazzy na my boy!!!!!! Una dey maddddd!!?? Shayennnnn sharayyyyyy333," he exclaimed, directing a severe comment towards the COO by labeling him as "Tega highest criminal!!!!!!!!!".

He further claimed that the label's actions had a direct hand in his mother's death, a serious allegation he did not detail further.

Crayon, who joined Blowtime Entertainment, an offshoot of Mavin Records, in May 2019, later posted another message declaring that "Mavin is going down!!!!!!".

Additionally, he appeared to take a jab at fellow artist Rema, stating that he would not collaborate with him for the next century and accused Rema of overshadowing his success.

There is uncertainty regarding whether Crayon's account on X was compromised, as he has continued to post on Instagram without indicating any unauthorized access.

Crayon has kept the buzz alive regarding his exit from Mavin by hinting at a new record label, sharing that his latest song "Baami" is associated with Olodum Entertainment, lacking any Mavin Records identification.
