Daniel Regha has ignited a debate by addressing the double standards evident in the judgement of men and women. The social commentator expressed his views on the platform X, aiming to challenge entrenched societal norms.
He stated: "When a man repeatedly cheats on his partner and ultimately marries her, society tends to laud the woman as 'understanding' because people are prone to errors.
"However, if a woman enters into a marriage or is observed in a joyous relationship after being unfaithful, there are doubts cast about the man's intelligence online.
"A man can father a child outside of wedlock, and rationalizations will follow to excuse his actions. Conversely, a woman can hardly express any form of affection towards another man, even in non-romantic contexts without facing backlash.
"The same wrongdoing is met with contrasting narratives."
