Nigerian music sensation Davido gave a powerful performance at the Coachella festival, drawing a massive crowd to the Gobi Stage with a vibrant Afrobeats presentation.
During the first weekend of the festival in Indio, on April 11, the artist commanded the stage for 45 minutes, performing 16 songs that represented his musical journey, from early hits to recent tracks.
Davido kicked off his performance with beloved songs like Skelewu, If, Fall, and Gobe, prompting the audience to join in, creating a shared cultural experience.
He also featured songs from his latest album, 5IVE, including UNAVAILABLE and FEEL!, underscoring his continuing influence on the global Afrobeats landscape.
A memorable moment of the evening occurred when Davido brought out fellow Nigerian artist Adekunle Gold to perform their hit song HIGH, which was met with enthusiastic cheers from attendees.
Concluding his set with With You, Davido incorporated a segment inspired by Michael Jackson's Thriller. He then proudly waved the Nigerian flag, an emotional highlight that emphasized his role in representing Nigeria on the international stage.
Davido was the only Nigerian artist on a lineup that included major global acts like Justin Bieber, further highlighting the growing international appeal of Afrobeats.
Attendees and fans lauded his stage presence, energy, and display of national pride, with many hailing his performance as one of the most engaging sets of the festival, as Afrobeats continues to gain global recognition.
