Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido has revealed plans for his inaugural music festival in the United Kingdom, marking a significant achievement in his expanding global career.

The event, titled "Davido & Friends Festival," is scheduled for August 14, 2026, at the renowned Crystal Palace Bowl in London, an open-air venue with a seating capacity for approximately 15,000 attendees.

Davido will take center stage as the main headliner and will be responsible for curating the lineup, ensuring a vibrant showcase of Afrobeats alongside diverse global music influences.

He announced the festival through his official X page, stating: "For the first time, I present to you, Davido & Friends Festival. It’s going down at Crystal Palace Bowl on August 14th. Sign up for first access."

In an accompanying video, the 33-year-old artist expressed his excitement to the London audience, saying, "Yo my people of London, it’s your boy Davido. I know you guys have been feeling left out, but guess what, for the first time, I present to you, Davido and Friends outdoor show. I’m performing this summer in London. We are taking over the Crystal Palace Bowl on the 14th of August. Get your friends down, as I will be doing the same."

The announcement has ignited enthusiastic responses from fans and music industry observers, who view the festival as a pivotal moment for the Afrobeats movement in the UK.

As per the event organizers, pre-sale tickets will be available starting on March 26, 2026, at 10 a.m. GMT, with general ticket sales commencing on March 27, 2026, at the same time.

The festival is part of the Palace Bowl Presents concert series, aimed at revitalizing the celebrated venue that has hosted prominent acts since the 1970s.

Other artists engaged in the series include British bands Bastille and The Wombats, set to perform on August 13.

This year is particularly busy for Davido, following the success of his 2023 album titled Timeless, which yielded global hits such as "Unavailable" and gained him positions on international music charts. His ongoing 5ive Alive Tour across Europe and a scheduled appearance at Coachella 2026 further emphasize his increasing influence worldwide.
