Police in Delta State have arrested individuals suspected of being part of a cult group involved in the murder of a rival's twin brother.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, March 31, SP Bright Edafe, the command's spokesperson, reported that on January 20, 2026, members of the Supreme Vikings Confraternity, also known as Aro Bagger, brutally shot and stabbed a 31-year-old man named Alex Adanike from the Agbhara-Otor Community. They had intended to kill his twin brother, Okpako Adanike, but attacked the wrong individual.

Edafe revealed that a thorough investigation into the incident led to the apprehension of two suspects, Warri Ochuko and Lucky Okohwoake, both of whom admitted to participating in the crime.

Furthermore, Edafe noted that following a recent operation targeting criminal hideouts in the Ughelli and Warri regions, led by DCP Olumuyiwa Adejobi of the operations department, two additional suspects were arrested. These individuals, Tega Micheal, 26, and Tena Sagbene, 32, both residents of Ughelli, were identified by those already in custody as accomplices in the murder.

All suspects have confessed to their involvement in the crime. They were brought before the Ughelli High Court on March 31, 2026, and have been remanded in custody pending further legal proceedings.
