Dettol, a prominent hygiene brand in Nigeria, has officially rolled out the second iteration of its #OwnTheSweat initiative with the support of Dettol Cool Soap. This campaign aims to motivate Nigerians to lead active lives while ensuring they remain protected against germs and unpleasant body odour.

In this latest phase, #OwnTheSweat2.0, Dettol Cool plans to set up pop-up events in gyms located in key Nigerian cities including Lagos, Abuja, Kano, and Port Harcourt over the next two months. Additionally, the program will feature school activations that focus on enhancing freshness, self-assurance, and good hygiene practices among Nigerians engaged in physical activities.

As more than 80% of Nigerians face daily commutes with temperatures often ranging from 25°C to 35°C, they are no strangers to sweating. Dettol Cool Soap is specifically formulated to help users feel fresh and assured regardless of the climatic conditions. The product provides 99% germ protection, a cooling effect that can reduce skin temperature by up to 5°C, and long-lasting defence against body odour, making it a perfect hygiene solution for those who are always on the go.

Through its gym pop-ups, Dettol Cool will collaborate with selected fitness centers to conduct engaging games and fitness challenges aimed at testing participants’ endurance, agility, and confidence. This strategy further emphasizes the brand’s commitment to supporting an active lifestyle and boosting Nigeria’s evolving fitness culture.

The campaign will also reach schools via the Cool School Pop-up, introducing young Nigerians to the advantages of freshness and protection, while fostering healthy hygiene habits among students.

Boma Harrison, the Marketing Director for Reckitt West Africa, commented on this second campaign, stating, "The previous success of Dettol Cool #OwnTheSweat made it clear that Nigerians with active lifestyles embrace the hygiene-focused confidence that Dettol provides. With #OwnTheSweat2.0, we are broadening our outreach by engaging more people through gyms and schools, enabling them to celebrate movement, challenge themselves, and remain assured of their protection from Dettol Cool."

The #OwnTheSweat2.0 campaign will continue to reinforce Dettol Cool's commitment to offering 99% germ protection and cooling confidence for active Nigerians.
