Doja Cat captivated audiences as she performed for the first time in Africa at the Global Citizen's Move Afrika event held in Kigali. The concert was a standout segment of the pan-African tour, featuring an exhilarating night with DJ IRAA.

The atmosphere was electric at the BK Arena, where the fusion of live music and advocacy created a memorable experience. The night was led by Doja Cat, who delivered a thrilling performance that completely engaged the sold-out crowd. Hits like "Paint The Town Red," "Woman," "Streets," "Need to Know," and "Jealous Type" kept the energy high, and at one point, she paused to acknowledge the audience, saying, “This is my first time in Africa… I love you… thank you so much, Rwanda.”

The excitement continued with DJ IRAA joining her on stage, enriching the evening's celebrations of both international and local talents.

Beyond the entertainment, the Move Afrika initiative, according to the Co- Founder and CEO of Global Citizen, Hugh Evans, aims to establish a pan-African tour circuit that not only brings foreign artists to Africa but also fosters real opportunities within the creative sector. The initiative impacts various stakeholders, from local vendors to production teams.

"Global Citizen launched Move Afrika to create the first touring circuit for international artists in Africa, aspiring to generate thousands of jobs in the creative industry," Evans stated. "And Kigali was the perfect choice for our launch!"

Now in its third year, the initiative has gained momentum, previously featuring iconic performers such as John Legend and Kendrick Lamar, alongside monumental performances by global stars like Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Usher, Davido, Tiwa Savage, SZA, Stormzy, and Tems across major cities like Johannesburg, Lagos, and Accra.

Following the exciting event in Kigali, the tour progresses to its next destination in Pretoria, South Africa on March 20.
