Fintiri Submits Three Candidates for Commissioner Roles

The Governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has officially submitted the names of three individuals nominated for commissioner roles to the state Assembly for the necessary screening and approval process.

The nominees forwarded to the Assembly on Tuesday comprise Sali Idris from Maiha Local Government Area, Eng. Muhammed Suleiman from Mubi North Local Government Area, and Chubado Mohammed from Jada Local Government Area.

In addition, the Assembly received the name of Iliya Gaji from Mubi North Local Government Area, who is up for screening and confirmation as a member of the Adamawa State Independent Electoral Commission (ADSIEC).

Governor Fintiri's nominees were presented in different letters addressed to the Assembly, which were subsequently read by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley. Following this, Speaker Wesley instructed the clerk to notify the nominees to present themselves along with their curriculum vitae before the Assembly on March 9, 2026, for the screening process.
