The First Lady of Nigeria, Oluremi Tinubu, has publicly condemned the trend of women dressing indecently.

Speaking at an interfaith gathering in Abuja recently, she highlighted that being naked does not equate to being beautiful. In her address, she urged women to adopt modest dressing practices.

She challenged her audience with the following remarks:

‘It is important to mentor young girls, especially those from less privileged backgrounds. Assist them when you can, whether by providing scholarships or encouraging them in their pursuits. Instill in them good values and guide them on how to be exemplary women. Teaching them about proper attire is crucial as many of our youth seem to have deviated from this.

I refrain from engaging with social media, so such matters do not disturb me. However, it is vital we educate them on modesty, as true beauty originates from within. Our menfolk too must be guided to maintain discipline in this regard,’ she stated.
