The First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has called upon citizens to consistently pray for the peace and prosperity of the nation as the Lenten and Ramadan seasons commence for Christians and Muslims.

Issuing separate statements on Tuesday in celebration of the beginning of Lent and Ramadan on Wednesday, Mrs. Tinubu urged followers of the two faiths to utilize these significant times for deep spiritual reflection and intercession for Nigeria.

In her message for Lent, the First Lady expressed her hope that this period would bring about spiritual growth, self-examination, and a renewed dedication to God.

“As we enter this Lenten season, I pray that this time dedicated to spiritual growth and self-reflection will lead us to follow Christ’s example of love,” she affirmed.

She continued, “May our prayers and acts of compassion enhance our faith and improve our relationships with others. I encourage everyone to remember to pray for the peace and prosperity of our beloved Nigeria. Wishing you all a blessed and fulfilling Lenten season.”

In her address for Ramadan, she sent well wishes to the Muslim community as they begin their holy month, praying for blessings upon families and the nation.

“I pray this holy month brings peace, joy, and spiritual fulfillment to you and your family, as well as to the entire nation,” she stated.

“During this holy month of fasting and prayers, let us remember our dear nation in our prayers for even greater peace and prosperity. May the Almighty Allah accept all our supplications, forgive us our sins, and answer our prayers. Ramadan Kareem,” she concluded.

Mrs. Tinubu highlighted the significance of unity, faith, and collective prayer in enhancing national harmony and supporting sustainable development.
