Al Ahli SC, a member of the Qatar Stars League, has announced the acquisition of former Super Eagles captain, William Troost-Ekong.

The defender has moved to the Doha-based club after his stint with Saudi side Al Kholood, signing a deal that will keep him at Al Ahli until the end of June 2028.

He has been assigned his favored jersey number 5 and is anticipated to play a pivotal role in aiding the club's efforts to successfully conclude the season.

Expressing his enthusiasm about the transfer, the 32-year-old player took to social media, stating, “Next Chapter! Happy to be here part of the @ahliqat family!”

During his time at Al Kholood, Troost-Ekong made 49 appearances, netting two goals while providing essential defensive leadership and stability.

His addition is regarded as a significant enhancement for Al Ahli SC as they aim to bolster their lineup for the upcoming challenges in the season.
