Wrestling personality Alberto Del Rio is reportedly facing legal consequences in Mexico, having been detained by authorities due to alleged domestic violence. Multiple sources suggest the former WWE champion was apprehended in the city of San Luis Potosí.
The detention followed a complaint filed by his wife, who reportedly accused him of physical assault. As of now, official statements from law enforcement regarding the specifics of the allegations or the ongoing investigation have not been released.
A photograph, which is purported to be a mugshot of the wrestler, has surfaced on social media platforms, though its authenticity has not been officially verified.
Alberto Del Rio, whose real name is Dos Santos, joined the WWE in 2009 and achieved significant success in the organization. He made wrestling history in 2011 by becoming the first Mexican-born performer to hold both the WWE Championship and the World Heavyweight Championship simultaneously. That same year also saw him win both the Royal Rumble match and the Money in the Bank ladder match, a rare accomplishment in a single calendar year.
