The Nigerian Universities Engineering Students’ Association (NUESA) chapter at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) is preparing to host the inaugural edition of its signature event, the Innovation & Intellect Week, now in its second iteration (IIW 2.0). This program is designed to stimulate, challenge, and equip engineering students with the skills needed for a rapidly evolving digital world.
The central theme for the week is "Scaling Student-Led Business in a Digital Economy." The initiative seeks to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical career prospects by exposing students to innovation, entrepreneurial concepts, and the latest technological advancements.
Set to take place within the College of Engineering at FUNAAB, the Innovation & Intellect Week will gather a dynamic community of students, tech professionals, and young entrepreneurs from both within and outside the university.
The event promises a series of engaging activities, including thought- provoking debates, competitions centered on innovation, and informative sessions led by industry experts from the technology, business, and digital sectors.
These interactions are intended to provide participants with actionable insights on how to develop, expand, and position their ideas effectively within the current digital marketplace. Furthermore, the program aims to foster the development of critical thinking and problem-solving abilities among attendees.
Organizers have stated that this initiative represents a significant stride towards establishing a platform where engineering students are not only academically proficient but also fully prepared to navigate and excel in the fast-changing technological landscape.
The event is anticipated to draw a substantial number of students, serving as a focal point for learning, collaborative efforts, and forward-looking discourse.
As preparations advance, NUESA FUNAAB extends an invitation to students, innovators, and all interested parties to participate in this significant event.
