Ozbek remarked, "Fabricating stories like this only leads to unnecessary crises. Galatasaray is a top-tier club with world-class athletes. You cannot rely solely on rhetoric to motivate these players."

He further elaborated, stating, "Should players go without their salaries for two or three months, their performance would inevitably decline. Such claims undermine the professionalism of our athletes. We have bonuses and performance incentives, and we ensure timely payments for all. Galatasaray has never failed to meet its financial responsibilities — not a single lira is overdue."
