Background:
Taiwo and his twin brother, Kehinde, first captured the public’s attention in the Yoruba gospel music scene with their debut album, "Faratimi (Lean on Me)", released in 1999.
Throughout their career, they have been acclaimed for their spiritually uplifting music, memorable hits, and cultural resonance. Some of their popular tracks include "Shower Your Blessing", "God Concert", "Emi Mimo", "Igbagbo Dun", "Ma Beru", and "Adura Mi Gba".
The twins were also recognized for their contributions to the arts, receiving appointments as Special Advisers on Entertainment and Tourism in Osun State from Governor Ademola Adeleke.
Born in Oyo State, they previously shared insight in a 2024 interview where they critiqued the gospel music industry, stating that not every artist pursuing this genre is genuinely called to the ministry, with many seeking fame and fortune instead. They revealed prophetic insights regarding their destiny as musicians which had been given before their birth.
