Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to reducing poverty and improving citizens’ welfare.
The governor, represented by the Head of Service, Yakubu Sani Haidara, stated this at the Kaura Namoda Durbar celebration.
Haidara highlighted that the administration's policies encompass critical areas such as security, health, education, agriculture, and trade and investment, with a strong emphasis on safeguarding lives and properties.
He mentioned that the government's alignment with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) was intended to secure enhanced federal support in the fight against insecurity.
The Head of Service also pointed out ongoing projects that aim to promote cultural heritage, including the renovation of mosques and traditional institutions.
In his remarks, the Emir of Kaura Namoda, Major Sanusi Muhammad Aisha (retd), commended the governor’s initiatives in security and infrastructural development.
He noted the acquisition of security equipment and the progress being made on the Gusau International Airport as significant achievements of the administration.
