Governor Namadi expressed his satisfaction with the meeting's outcomes, highlighting that the discussions illustrated the significant influence that government spending and partner collaboration have had on educational achievements. He emphasized that the contributions from donor agencies and development partners, in addition to government actions, are becoming increasingly apparent in improving educational results across the state.

"Today's outcomes affirm that the investments we are making in education are indeed bearing fruit. The insights shared by the donor agencies regarding their contributions to education development underscore the evident progress we are making,” the governor remarked.

He acknowledged the unwavering commitment and assistance offered by development partners in boosting educational results, assuring them of the government's continuous cooperation. Moreover, he reiterated that his administration is devoted to fostering a supportive environment that encourages effective collaboration.

The governor further committed to examining the suggestions and contributions made during the meeting to incorporate feasible ideas into the state's educational policies and planning.

In his address, Lawal Yunusa Danzomo, the Commissioner for Basic Education, noted that the stakeholders’ meeting successfully brought together all sectors and entities involved in educational data and service delivery. He stressed that overcoming challenges in the education sector necessitates a united approach, underscoring the collective goal of stakeholders to ensure every child in Jigawa enrolls in, persists in, and successfully graduates from school.

The Commissioner shared that recent evaluations revealed substantial improvements in educational access, retention rates, transitions among levels, and completion rates. He pointed out notable advancements in teacher recruitment, deployment, training, attendance, and performance.

Mr. Danzomo attributed these successes to the political will demonstrated by Governor Namadi, the supportive environment fostered by his administration, and the equitable platform that encourages meaningful stakeholder involvement in the state’s educational development.

This stakeholders' meeting is part of Governor Umar Namadi's broader initiative aimed at revitalizing the education sector, positioning it as a fundamental component for sustainable human capital growth in Jigawa State. Participating partners and NGOs included PLANE, AGILE, UNICEF, the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), and Save the Children, among others.
