Governor Radda Celebrates 40th Maulud of Sheikh Ibrahim Inyass, Promotes Interfaith Unity

The Governor of Katsina State, Dikko Umaru Radda, expressed his sincere gratitude to Allah for the assurance of peace and stability in both the state and the nation. This statement was made during the 2026 International Maulud of Sheikh Ibrahim Inyass, which took place at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium in Katsina on Saturday.

Governor Radda praised the organizers of the Maulud for successfully uniting the attendees in a spirit of camaraderie and togetherness. He emphasized the importance of religious leaders continuing to pray for the advancement and prosperity of the state and the country at large. Moreover, he urged the Muslim community to remain cohesive and work collaboratively for societal progress.

The governor expressed his appreciation to all Islamic leaders who attended the event and wished them safe travels back to their respective locales. He noted that hosting this gathering reflects the commitment of the Building Your Future administration to fostering interfaith harmony and peaceful coexistence.

The Khalifa Sheikh Mahi Ibrahim Inyass, represented by Sheikh Muhammadu Kuraish Sheikh Ibrahim Inyass, encouraged Tijjaniyya followers to maintain unity and brotherhood. He urged them to act in alignment with the teachings of the Qur’an and the Hadith of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) to foster a more harmonious society.

The 16th Emir of Kano, Khalifa Sanusi Lamido Sanusi II, called for solidarity among the Muslim Ummah and encouraged followers to seek both Islamic and Western education, as well as skills that would promote self-sufficiency.

Additionally, Khalifa Ibrahim Dahiru Usman Bauchi urged the followers to adhere to the teachings of the Holy Qur’an, the Hadith of Prophet Muhammad, and the instructions of Sheikh Tijjani and Sheikh Ibrahim Inyass.

The National President of the movement, Sheikh Ahmad Tijjani Awwal, highlighted that this year’s Maulud commemorates the 40th anniversary of Sheikh Ibrahim Inyass's Maulud celebration in Nigeria. He expressed gratitude to Governor Radda and the Local Organizing Committee for their efforts in realizing the event.

Sheikh Hadi Balarabe, the State Chairman of the Movement and Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee, acknowledged all stakeholders for their support in ensuring the success of the 2026 Maulud. The event attracted numerous important personalities and followers of the Tijjaniyya Movement from across Nigeria and beyond.
