Ahmad Gumi, a prominent Islamic scholar from Kaduna, has commented on the death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, referring to the late Iranian leader as a 'lucky soul' who died valiantly in defense of oppressed populations.
In a message posted on his verified Facebook account, Gumi stated that Khamenei's passing was part of a 'Jihad against the perpetrators of violence against innocent women and children in Gaza and beyond.'
Gumi reiterated, 'A lucky soul, he died in Jihad against the killers of innocent children and women in Gaza and elsewhere.'
Furthermore, he noted that the blood of the deceased leader would inspire transformation within the ummah, mentioning that Khamenei 'stood firmly for justice and did not cower in hiding.'
Gumi also expressed concern for those involved in Khamenei's death, stating, 'For those who killed him or played a role in his death, we will see what legacy they create in this world.'
Khamenei, who led Iran for several decades, was a pivotal figure in both its political and religious spheres. His reported assassination has elicited reactions from around the globe.
