The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has confirmed that Iran’s Natanz nuclear enrichment site was subjected to bombing attributed to airstrikes by the United States and Israel.

Secretary General of the IAEA, Rafael Grossi, disclosed the incident early on Saturday, stating that the facility had been targeted.

This bombing follows ongoing military operations conducted by Israel and the U.S., along with Iran’s retaliatory strikes throughout the Gulf region.

"The IAEA has been informed by Iran that the Natanz nuclear site was attacked today," the agency announced.

The agency further indicated that there have been no reported increases in radiation levels off-site as a result of the bombing.

Mr. Grossi reiterated the need for military restraint to mitigate any risks associated with nuclear accidents as tensions heighten in the region.

The IAEA, a UN-backed agency, is responsible for fostering international cooperation in the nuclear sector while promoting the safe and peaceful use of nuclear technology. This bombing marks the fourth such targeted attack on Iranian nuclear facilities since the commencement of the U.S.-Israeli offensive in the country.
