Iran has issued a grave warning to residents and workers in specific areas of the United Arab Emirates, advising them to vacate regions near critical port facilities in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Fujairah without delay.
As reported by Iran's semi-official Tasnim News Agency, individuals living or working adjacent to several important ports, including Jebel Ali Port in Dubai, Khalifa Port in Abu Dhabi, and Fujairah Port, are urged to leave the vicinity immediately.
The agency has stated that these port locations might become targets due to the suspected presence of United States military forces operating within or nearby civilian Structures.
"These areas have become legitimate targets because of the presence and concealment of US military forces among civilian installations and will be targeted in the coming hours," the report claims.
This warning has been issued against the backdrop of rising tensions between Iran and Israel, prompted by a series of military exchanges that have heightened fears of a broader regional conflict. The situation escalated following Israel's airstrikes on Iranian facilities tied to its military and nuclear operations, which has led Tehran to promise retaliation against Israeli and allied targets in the region.
The United States, identified as a primary security partner of the UAE, maintains military assets throughout several Gulf nations as part of its established regional security strategy. Iranian officials have frequently accused the US of backing Israeli military actions and have warned that sites hosting US military personnel could be targeted if the hostilities escalate further.
UAE officials have not publicly validated any evacuation orders in connection with Iran's warning, and no official communication has been issued from Emirati authorities regarding this assertion. Nevertheless, the situation has intensified apprehension regarding the security of vital shipping and energy infrastructures throughout the Gulf, especially surrounding some of the world’s busiest commercial ports.
