Only those deeply religious tend to feel offense upon hearing the convicting message of God. Unlike them, Zacchaeus and the woman caught in adultery did not feel insulted even when exposed to their wrongdoings because they sought salvation. The disciples remained unoffended when Jesus proclaimed that unless they became like little children, they would not enter heaven. If our aim is to reach heaven, the fundamental truths concerning salvation and holiness will not disturb us; otherwise, we risk being uprooted like crops in a barren soil.

Every religious leader, doctrine, or ideology that opposes the tenet of salvation through faith in Christ, rendering the church dull and lacking in prayer, will ultimately be eradicated. We need to remain unwavering in our beliefs and committed to God's kingdom to avoid receiving the consequences that befall those who cling stubbornly to their sins.

Historically, the Ephraimites, Pharisees, and other traditionalists of Israel stood firm and stubborn in their transgressions despite numerous admonitions from the Lord. Consequently, God chose to withdraw from them. Such rigid religious leaders are identified as 'blind guides,' and if the blind lead the blind, both will end up in a pit. Ultimately, the Lord will reject them on the day of judgment.

Faith plays a crucial role in achieving complete transformation. The woman from Canaan, whose daughter was severely troubled by a demon, exhibited tremendous faith, resulting in her daughter's healing. If we show unwavering faith in Christ, we too will produce remarkable outcomes in our lives, but we must overcome challenges that test our faith.

The Canaanite woman approached Jesus with a specific intention. "And behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, 'have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David;' my daughter is severely vexed with a devil. However, He did not answer her at all. His disciples urged Him, saying, 'Send her away; for she is crying after us.'" Despite the disciples' actions, she did not allow their behavior to deter or discourage her from fulfilling her goal. This year, we should not let obstacles, negative circumstances, or the conduct of others dissuade us from serving the Lord or accomplishing our life goals. We must be resolute and protect our faith with utmost humility.

Despite the disciples' behavior and Jesus' initial response, the Canaanite woman continued to worship Him, pleading, "Lord, help me." Jesus replied that it was not right to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs. Unfazed by His reply, she showed remarkable humility, responding, "Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table." Her humble approach yielded the fulfillment of her request. We should respect our leaders and those whom God has appointed over us. If we maintain the correct attitude and disposition, the Lord will grant our desires, allowing us to witness the triumph of significant faith within our hearts.

Jesus could not overlook the profound faith of the Canaanite woman. "Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And from that very hour, her daughter was healed." If we approach the Lord with strong faith this year, free from distractions in our hearts, He will answer our prayers.
