Governor Uba Sani has strongly restated his administration's unwavering stance against the manipulation of insecurity for political gains in Kaduna State. He declared that any person or entity attempting to undermine peace and stability would face the full extent of the law.

The Governor asserted that safeguarding lives and property is a constitutional mandate he is committed to fulfilling with firmness and without compromise.

Governor Uba Sani issued this stern warning during the opening remarks at a State Security Council meeting held at the Council Chambers of Sir Kashim Ibrahim House.

"We are fully aware of those who aim to challenge our resolve. We are monitoring events closely and are prepared to take decisive action. Kaduna State will not revert to a period characterized by violence, fear, and division; that era has definitively ended," he stated.

He further highlighted that since his administration assumed office on May 29, 2023, Kaduna State has not experienced any ethno-religious conflicts or farmer-herder clashes, a fact he believes is evident across the nation.

Governor Sani explained that his administration's strategy for addressing security challenges is fundamentally preventive.

"It is imperative that we bolster intelligence gathering at the local level, strengthen our collaboration with traditional and religious institutions, and maintain seamless coordination among all security agencies. Our aim must be to stay consistently and deliberately ahead of any threats," he urged.

He recalled that the Kaduna Peace Model has been instrumental in his administration's success in tackling insecurity. He described this model as a security strategy built upon inclusivity, intelligence-driven operations, inter-agency cooperation, and community engagement.

The State Governor elaborated that the Kaduna Peace Model has successfully transitioned their approach from reactive containment to proactive prevention.

"Our most valuable asset is intelligence. We have enhanced the systems for prompt information collection and real-time sharing among agencies. This has empowered us to identify threats early, dismantle criminal networks, and avert escalations.

"Kaduna State is increasingly recognized for this coordinated approach. While we continuously strive for improvement, the positive outcomes are clear," he added.

However, the Governor cautioned that continued progress requires constant vigilance, urging the citizens of Kaduna State not to become complacent.

"The security landscape is continually evolving, becoming more complex, and at times, influenced by political opportunism. As we approach a sensitive political juncture, we must anticipate efforts to exploit divisions and instigate instability within communities," he advised.

He acknowledged the significant support provided by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to Kaduna State, noting the Federal Government's contributions through improved coordination and institutional reforms.

Governor Uba Sani also commended the Minister of Defence, retired General Christopher Musa, who was in attendance at the State Security Council meeting, for his commitment since taking office.

He also expressed profound gratitude to the dedicated men and women serving in the Armed Forces, the Nigeria Police Force, the Department of State Services, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, and all other security and paramilitary organizations.

"Your bravery, discipline, and sacrifices are crucial in shielding our populace from harm. You operate under challenging and often perilous circumstances, yet you remain steadfast in your duties. Kaduna State appreciates your service and stands firmly with you.

The Governor further recognized the essential contributions of traditional rulers, religious leaders, and community stakeholders, stating that their influence at the grassroots level fosters trust, encourages dialogue, and helps prevent conflicts.

"Security is not solely maintained through force; it is built on legitimacy, cooperation, and shared values. Your contributions are vital to our ongoing success," he emphasized.
