Larry Madowo, a prominent journalist from Kenya, has voiced his criticism of Nigeria regarding the high expenses and complexity involved in obtaining a visa to enter the country.
In his statements, Madowo highlighted that Kenyan citizens are obligated to pay approximately $80 for a Nigerian visa.
He explained that while the visa fee is around $25, additional charges associated with online processing and payments significantly raise the overall cost.
Madowo went on to assert that some individuals who apply for multiple-entry visas are often limited to single-entry visas instead.
"Giant of Africa, you dey fall my hand… Nigerians claim that others 'carry last,' but it is actually you who is at the back in terms of granting visa access to other Africans," he remarked.
