A man, known as Mr. Anene, has made a triumphant return to his family after enduring a harrowing ordeal of being kidnapped by herdsmen. He was abducted on March 16 from his workplace alongside other individuals.
Following the kidnapping, the abductors demanded a ransom of N15 million from his family. Thankfully, on March 19, he managed to escape and returned to his home. Upon his arrival, he was seen limping, with family and neighbors rushing to greet him. He required assistance to walk as he grimaced in pain.
His wife was elated, expressing her joy over the phone, "Sister, my husband is back. My husband is back. Thank you, Jesus!".
During his recounting of events, Mr. Anene mentioned that three other victims remain with the kidnappers, including a woman who was taken with him. There are serious allegations that this woman has been subjected to sexual abuse by the captors.
