Nigerian media personality Mayowa Lambe has formally requested her former partner, OAP Roby Ekpo, to halt all public commentary regarding their relationship through a cease and desist letter.
The notice, issued by Lambe's legal representatives, states that the couple's traditional marriage was officially dissolved by mutual agreement before May 2025, with the knowledge and consent of both families.
Lambe's legal team alleges that Roby Ekpo has been propagating unsubstantiated narratives about her, including accusations of infidelity and financial dependency, and has misrepresented the status of their union.
These assertions, according to the legal document, have led to significant online harassment and damage to Lambe's reputation.
The legal demand includes an immediate cessation of all further statements about Lambe, the removal of any existing content that makes such claims, and a public apology from Ekpo.
Furthermore, the notice seeks ₦100 million in damages and warns of impending legal action if Ekpo fails to comply with these demands within a three-day period.
The notice is accompanied by screenshots that appear to be from social media, potentially related to the dispute.
