Former First Lady of the United States, Michelle Obama, has announced that she recently acquired ten new ear piercings, in addition to her existing ones.

In a conversation with her brother Craig Robinson on their IMO Podcast, Michelle discussed the inspiration behind her decision. She mentioned that she had contemplated getting additional piercings for a while but never acted on it.

"I have always thought about getting extra piercings in my ear and just never got around to it," she explained.

Before becoming a mother, Michelle had already gotten a second set of piercings but found herself too busy to wear earrings in them after childbirth.

Recently, she felt encouraged to proceed with new piercings after observing the younger generation around her.

She remarked, "But nowadays, the young people in my life are doing more piercings, there’s just more beautiful adornments."

Displaying her new piercings with small earrings designed to resemble stars, she noted, "You see there's more of a cluster, the constellation sort of look, twinkles that go..."

Her brother was surprised and asked if she had gotten five new piercings, to which Michelle confirmed that she had indeed received five in each ear. Initially intending to get just a few, she became enthusiastic and requested more during the procedure.

When Craig suggested that the process might have been painful, she responded, "It actually was not that... it wasn't bad at all."
