Gabrielle Henry, who holds the title of Miss Universe Jamaica, has been officially discharged from the hospital, four months after experiencing a dramatic fall while on stage at the Miss Universe pageant. This update was confirmed by the event’s organizers.
In a statement provided to Jamaican publication The Gleaner, Mark McDermoth and Karl Williams, involved in organizing the Miss Jamaica pageant, announced Henry's release from the hospital and noted that she is now recovering with the assistance of her medical team.
Sources from PEOPLE also verified through representatives of Miss Universe Jamaica that Henry is out of the hospital but continues to be monitored closely by health professionals.
“She hasn’t returned to her official duties as Miss Universe Jamaica yet, and currently, no interviews or public appearances are scheduled for her,” said McDermoth and Williams in their communication to the press.
Following her unexpected fall from the stage during the preliminary evening gown segment of Miss Universe in Thailand in November 2025, Henry was hospitalized due to a fracture and intracranial hemorrhage.
Henry’s legal representatives shared that since the incident, she has been unable to continue her role as an ophthalmology resident.
On November 19, Henry was seen being carried off on a stretcher after her harrowing fall during the pageant event in Thailand.
