The father of the deceased artist Mohbad has addressed the current allegations surrounding his son's case, extending his appreciation to those who have been supportive in the pursuit of justice.
He specifically denied reports that suggested he was seeking financial help from Naira Marley and VDM for rent payments. He clarified that these assertions were untrue, asserting that he is a property owner and does not need assistance with housing expenses.
Focusing on the primary matter, Mohbad’s father mentioned that his legal counsel recently informed him that the DNA testing facilities selected to ascertain paternity for Mohbad’s child are not credible. He claimed that both the center identified by the Lagos State welfare officer and the one recommended by his late son's wife’s attorney were fraudulent.
He expressed concern that these circumstances imply that there might be attempts to obstruct the unveiling of the truth. He urged the Lagos State government to step in, emphasizing that conducting the DNA test is vital before any final burial arrangements for Mohbad can proceed.
