A mother has expressed her worries about what she perceives as increasing competition among students in private educational institutions.
In a recent online post, she questioned the appropriateness of children returning from school with lavish gifts such as bicycles and bags that were received during classmates' birthday parties.
"Can you imagine your children coming home with a bicycle and a school bag, claiming it's from a friend's birthday party?" she remarked.
She further articulated that schools should primarily focus on education rather than create environments where parents feel compelled to compete through extravagant gifts.
The mother emphasized that the practice of distributing such costly items might set unreasonable expectations among fellow parents. "If you think that because you gave a bicycle to my children, I will reciprocate, you are mistaken," she stated.
