The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has issued a warning to prospective pilgrims against making any payments to individuals, groups, or agencies for the upcoming 2026 Hajj, indicating that the official payment process has been closed.
In a statement released by NAHCON’s Deputy Director of Information and Public Relations, Fatima Sanda Usara, it was highlighted that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, via its Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, has concluded the data-capturing phase for the 2026 Hajj season.
Despite this closure, NAHCON announced that it has requested additional time from the Saudi authorities, enabling Nigerian Hajj operators the opportunity to finalize the registration of remaining pilgrims on the Nusuk Masar platform.
NAHCON expressed optimism that their request will be granted and assured the public that any important updates will be communicated promptly as soon as more information becomes available.
The commission urged the public to utilize its verified channels for the latest updates, appreciating the cooperation of all stakeholders as it collaborates with Saudi officials to facilitate a smooth Hajj experience for pilgrims.
