The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has expressed approval for the strides made by the government of Zamfara State concerning the ongoing construction of the Gusau airport.
Ahmad Abba, the Director of the NCAA, conveyed this commendation during an on- site visit to the project location in Gusau.
During the visit, Abba was received by Lawal Barau Bungudu, the state Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, as he conducted a tour of the crucial sections of the airport. He was updated on both completed and ongoing construction efforts concerning the project.
The NCAA director shared his satisfaction with the workmanship and progress observed on-site, highlighting that the developments align well with national aviation standards.
Abba noted that the quality of work being carried out exemplifies the determination of Dauda Lawal’s administration towards infrastructure enhancement in the region.
He further praised both the governor and the supervising commissioner for their effective oversight and commitment to ensuring that the airport adheres to required aviation regulations.
According to him, the advancements recorded thus far signal that the project is on track for completion and is on its way to becoming operationally ready.
Accompanying the inspection team were Haruna Dikko Gusau, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, and Ibrahim Musa Agigi, the Special Adviser on Infrastructure, as well as several directors from the ministry and other officials who provided essential technical details throughout the visit.
The NCAA director assured the state government of the authority's ongoing support and collaboration in making sure the airport achieves full operational status in accordance with established aviation guidelines.
